Fort Worth Public Library Returns to the DFW Archives Bazaar

We are excited to have more of our friends from Fort Worth join us for the 2019 DFW Archives Bazaar. Fort Worth Public Library will be participating again this year!

The Genealogy, Local History, and Archives unit of the Fort Worth Public Library collects and preserves papers of people who live, work, and play in Fort Worth, as well as records of local businesses, communities, and organizations. The unit was established in 1949, and also serves as the Municipal Archives for the City of Fort Worth (Fort Worth City Hall (City of Fort Worth)). They serve researchers locally and globally, including scholars, journalists, genealogists, and people who just need an answer to a question. Their collections include photographs, manuscripts, correspondence, maps, and more. They are continuously digitizing collections and adding them to their digital repository (http://www.fortworthtexasarchives.org/), and finding aids to their physical collections are available at https://fortworthlibrary.lyrasistechnology.org/.

Please visit their table at the 2019 DFW Archives Bazaar on Saturday, November 2 from 1-5pm, at Greater Denton Arts Council Patterson-Appleton Arts Center in Denton, TX.
