Texas Woman’s Collection at TWU Participates in their 1st DFW Archives Bazaar

We are excited to have another wonderful Denton institution participate in this year’s DFW Archives Bazaar! Welcome Texas Woman’s University Libraries Texas Woman’s Collection!

The Woman’s Collection of the Blagg-Huey Library at Texas Woman’s University represents one of the largest research collections on the history of American women in the United States. The Library first began collecting the biographies of great women in 1932 at the suggestion of its president, Dr. Louis H. Hubbard, “to serve as role models” to students. The Woman’s Collection houses the University Archives, which provides rich research materials on the history of women’s education in Texas. An international cookbook collection offers insight into culinary and cultural history. The Children’s Collection provides researchers a diverse array of materials for every age including a historical collection of children’s literature.

Visit their table at the 2019 DFW Archives Bazaar on Saturday, November 2 from 1-5pm at Greater Denton Arts Council Patterson-Appleton Arts Gallery in Denton, TX.
