Bridwell Library Brings the History of the Methodist Church to the DFW Archives Bazaar

Now announcing the next participant in the DFW Archives Bazaar – The Archives at Bridwell Library, part of SMU Libraries!

The Archives at Bridwell Library offer direct access to extensive collections of primary source materials documenting the histories of United Methodism, Perkins School of Theology, and Bridwell Library.

The Methodist Studies Archive includes records of Methodist organizations and the papers of bishops, ministers, educators, and other church leaders. The Perkins School of Theology Archive includes historical and administrative records, the professional papers of Deans and faculty members, publications, and records of student organizations. The Bridwell Library Archive includes historical and administrative records, the professional papers of Directors and staff members, publications, and Special Collections related materials. Additionally, Bridwell Library houses the independently-managed archives of the North Texas Annual Conference, the Rio Grande Annual Conference, the South Central Jurisdiction of the UMC, and the Texas United Methodist Historical Society. Together, these archival collections comprise the most extensive set of Methodist-related historical research materials in the Southwestern United States.
